The disparate elements, sharp edges on the dial cutouts, lack of symmetry, etc.
The crown as well, is just totally wrong for the watch.
Patek has released some watches in their catalog that I’d say are “difficult to love”, but they rarely look like they’ve been cobbled together from the parts bin. It simply looks cheap - cheaper than a fashion watch.
If it looks cheap like this, trust your gut - it’s a fake. If you’re into watches and can’t pick out fakes from the genuine article, it’s a good excuse to hit up some dealers and boutiques and start looking closely at watches you dream of. No anti-counterfeit ad campaign can beat the effectiveness of seeing, touching and feeling the genuine articles.
I’ve often wondered if the designers of these replicas adhere to a different design philosophy or creative basis than what we’re accustomed to coming from Switzerland/Germany/Japan. As independent and fine watchmaking grows and matured in China, perhaps we’ll see some of these design elements in a more cohesive package...and without Patek Philippe on the dial.
