Also the finishing has to be exposed under a lens. Loupes don’t show much detail. You want ~~great~~ excellent finishing? Take a look at those of $400,000 upwards, like 5078, 5531, 5372 and so on.

First time I took a look seriously of the Calibre 26-330 on my 5212 which I acquired last week, and I found that the movement finishing is actually better than expected!

Patek has been improving its finish since a decade, I won't be surprised to hear that your brand new movement is better finished (under loupe) than the former 324. I compared 324 to its predecessor 315, the quality (esp. the edge polishing, i.e. bevelling...
