First time I took a look seriously of the Calibre 26-330 on my 5212 which I acquired last week, and I found that the movement finishing is actually better than expected!

Patek has been improving its finish since a decade, I won't be surprised to hear that your brand new movement is better finished (under loupe) than the former 324. I compared 324 to its predecessor 315, the quality (esp. the edge polishing, i.e. bevelling... 

There is no improvement. Its the deviation which carries on their back for some time. Some batches are good, some are bad.

Also the finishing has to be exposed under a lens. Loupes don’t show much detail. You want great excellent finishing? Take a look at those of $400,000 upwards, like 5078, 5531, 5372 and so on.
