That is the way it has to be, with watches which live with us. There are chapters of your common life you are writing together, or, at least, with it. ;) It is always good to re evaluate your feelings, after a while, and it is even better when the feeling...

Thanks for your kind words. Yes I recall your purchase too (over the Lange AC) as I was comparing a PP vs Lange AC too. That was Christmas last year! :) Hmmm, maybe wear the watch a bit more especially during significant meetings and events. Somehow that ...

were to buy a PP, I would buy this for sure. Its great to have a collection diversified across brands, like you do. And I wonder what PP will come out with next year since it is their 175th.

A bit curious about the 5296 Calatrava with sector dial and SS Aquanaut. But knowing PP, very expensive. A non PP that has taken my fancy is the ALS 1815 up / down. Let's see what happens in terms of purchase and what I can afford when.

Yes the 1815 up down is also very yummy! But I prefer the original 1815 up down, esp the Le one with the hunter case back with Mr Walter Lange's signature. Need some time to hunt that though. .. Cheers Robin

Congratulations on owning and enjoying such a great watch. 5146 is virtually a perpetual (yes, I know the February difference), has a beautiful cream dial and has both a power reserve indicator and sweep seconds hand, both of which the 5140 lacks. To top ... 

Wow your evaluation of the various references is really good! Totally agree the 5146 is one of the best value current production PPs. I was lucky it happens to have a dial and case design that l really love and it fits my small wrist very well. Cheers Rob...
