Very low production, perpetual repeater in what is effectively a 2499 case. Breathtaking, sublime. I view these as the beginning of modern Patek. This piece continues to set the pace for today's models. Kind of like a Porsche 959 supercar which was a harbinger of regular production Porsches 20 years later.

There is no one but several holy grails !
It's the reason why Patek is the most prestigious brand ! Not because each model is a masterpiece which is not obviously the case but because there are several holy grails in the collection. Fr.Xavier

Regarding Lemania,
PP used it in many of their chronos. PP now has their own, in-house chrono movement, I believe it was first, in their 5960 and then in their 5980. Aloha, Bob

Lemania CH27 caliber ebauches have been used to fashion CH27-70 (5070's) , CH27-70Q (3970, 3971, 5020) and CHR27-70Q (5004). They form the Grail watcehs of Patek, which forever remain the chronos/perpetual chronos/split-second perpetual chronos. Larry
