I think you've made a very good choice Christian.
The case style is second to none and will always communicate a very special feeling when you look at it, because of its uniqueness.
The simplicity of the dial, next to the original case, makes it a great watch, for any occasions while still a very elegant one.
It is an aesthete watch imho.
