Thanks, Jay. For me, size doesn't matter. When I owned the Vacheron Les Historiques Chrono, I was very happy with its 37 mm case. Same for the 42 mm case of the 5070.
Now, if we consider the size of the movement related to the size of the case, I see your point. 2 or 3 mm less would be better...
BUT the magic of the 5070 is that its flaws are its strength... Curiously. A bit like the Datograph.

The more think about...
... the 5070 the more I like it. This color combination is particularly nice. I just cannot get around the problem of the size. The watch looks a bit silly on the wrist as it is just too large. What a pitty. This size will age very badly, I am afraid :-(
Depends on your wrist. On mine, which is 17 cm big, I have no problem. Would I prefer a 2 mm smaller case? Yes. Is it a deal breaker, no. not for me at least. But I do get your point.

IMHO considering everything 5070 and Datograph
are the best Chronograph. My mind can't stop battling as they best each other perpetually in recto and verso. So hard to tell which one is best as they both are perfect in different way.
