3940P case back question

Nope
To my knowledge the platinum 3940 was only ever produced with a solid case back. I suppose it’s always possible that one could have been made by special order, but I’ve never seen one.
Most gold 3940 came with a sapphire case back
and a solid gold case back too but the earlier ones came only with a solid case back. Not sure about the platinum though.
