But I was on the Collectors Market and Noticed a Patek (not looking to buy) and noticed it was in a cardboard looking box? Is that how these watches come? Sorry for asking a dumb question. I've only seen one PP in my life but never the box.

Patek present their watches in a substantial beautiful wooden box. A nice touch is the clasp on the box which echoes the Patek tang buckle used on their watch straps. When watches are returned from service they can come in a small cardboard box.

Usually Patek watches come in a factory sealed card box, not inside the beautiful wooden box which comes separately, at least this is how i got my 2 PP (Nautilus, Aquanaut) i don't really know the reason for such practice but i've heard from my AD that PP...
