I'd say go with the 5712r. With the synthetic strap, the watch would be great for everyday use. ...  

Decided against the 5712 due to the dial being of a similar design to the late "great" PP5085. Needed a change, something to excite me again...which the 5726 has! Cheers

Consider using the other brown strap from the 5711J, this shade of brown actually looks redder than the dark chocolate color of the 5712R strap. Here's a picture I took at a watch dinner in Japan in October 2011 that highlights the example of the 5711J st...  

The 5085 bracelet lasted for 9 years, and would have lasted longer. There was no risk of it snapping, but it had become loose near the lugs, I do believe this was due to my fat wrist! During the winter it fitted perfectly but in the summer months it could...

I agree it is all relative and maybe I didn't put it across properly. I believe Mr Stein even commented on the quality of Rolex and their production line, which he has never been allowed to view! Cheers
