I thought my 3940 was the GRAIL watch, then came 5140, then came datograph, resonance,......duometre plat soon?...gyrotourby2 ... 
gruelling but exciting...I love the journey. It's very safe to say my condition ends up a collection of grail watches over time, though I have no regret, so long I'm not broke acquiring them.

for posting my 5970 pics and yes i wear my watches thats the only reason a person should buy a watch or car imho i wanted to own a prep clender before i reached 30 and im glad i did so that i dont buy more watches or at least try to

Get your grail watch right from the start and then you don't have to keep on buying and selling. I wish that I had done that, unfortunately I didn't know anything about PP back then. Your 5970 is a beautiful watch.

i agree with you but to me a 5970 is very hard to beat its such a classic looking watch and to top that its a patek i own a few other watches just so that i swap them around and i try to get ss, yellow gold, and rose in my watch collection plus on leather...

on a wonderful watch. As CL has very well expressed, 5970 in any guise is just about the quintessential PP in our generation. I have to agree that indeed there is no perfect collection PERIOD. However, there is a perfect collection for THAT period of time...
