Sleepless nights ...
you can´t imagine how many I had because of this watch. First when it was introduced in 1989 ... non was available for me ... hunting a G version for several years ... non was available for me ... only two or three years ago a few G pieces have been available for me, BUT the magic was gone.

Not because of the still beautyful details of the watch,
but maybe I hunted it for too long and the diameter (a tight to small
for my current taste) of 33mm was something I displaced while dreaming.
Nonetheless, I still think it is a real beauty which represents pure Patek Philippe DNA.
Congrats that you found yours and I wish you lots of pleasure while wearing it, for a very long time.
When PP introduced the Ref. 7200 ...
... and of course the Ref. 5539G ...
... I guess you can imagine which watch was the first I had in mind
If you have more pictures to share of your beauty, please don´t hesitate.

Elegance is of course in the eye of the beholder. For some, watches with multiple complications constitute a form of elegance. For others, elegance means a somewhat minimalist dress-watch, now somewhat back in fashion. For all of us, I imagine there can b...
Too many elegant Pateks!

elegance for me is through the subtle appearance of the watch. The more you look at it the more beautiful and appealing it becomes. You do not get tired of it. That is always my goal in buying a dress watch and of course a Patek dress watch. Enjoy it well...
Thank you

Many thanks to you, and to others who have posted. I do take the point that elegance is not the same thing as classicism, in the sense that elegance can be found in completely unexpected forms. However, I would suggest that elegance in a wristwatch embodi...
Pocket watch

Well, it looks like a converted pocket watch ( in a good way) and also uses a lot of ancient Breguet styling features. Didnt Breguet have a model which also utilized a white dial and painted-on Italic numbers? 5140 Classique?
