Patek Philippe

Apparently the current era brings more complicated pieces to many fans, chronographs of the finest steel, mushroomed platinum pieces, …. That's good news for the lucky ones! Still we won't all get them, some will be pleased with simpler watches. Of course...  

Thanks for the wonderfull pics. A few days ago I was in London for a couple of days and ofcourse I went to New & Old Bondstreet. I was surprised to see a 5959 in the Patek Boutique. (I don't know if it was for sale) Maybe it was already sold but not picke... 

A simple calatrava or one of the 1950 pieces are so sublime and personally are what PP is all about. Yes I would long for a 3970 or a 3940 or one of the 1516 but I am always satisfied and contented with my simple pieces I am alwys looking for another holy... 

Thanks for the post and pics! The 5959 drives me crazy! I wish I can have one, but I am sure it will only be a dream which will never come true! LOL

And such a wonderful post, my friend! I, for one, deeply think that simple pieces can co exist with more complicated ones... It is not the same pleasure, and you can really reach the perfection with a " simple " watch, as a Calatrava, VC, JLC, DUFOUR, KV ... 

Yes ok, the 5959 (especially with black dial) is a killer. Saw it in metal and it was just so great. ... But my heart belongs to the simple watches. My all time favorite PP is 3960G ... ... which is so difficult to find/get. No luck so far :-( YG I saw se...

I agree with you and Jerome. This watch is unattainable in many ways: The harmony between the dial and the case; its presence on the wrist; and the beautiful and reliable movement. To my taste it is the best Calatrva design although I still like the disco... 

My first Patek and still I feel happy just looking at the clean lines and symmetry....
