I still am afraid that I will bump or damage it out in the world; I am perhaps a little self-conscious still about wearing such a valuable watch in public; it's not the easiest watch to glance at and tell the time; the original strap was too big and the smaller strap I purchased from PP is too tight, I am in between positions and for some reason the watch proportions and way the deployent buckle falls is a little irritating (I will invest in a custom strap at the right time next visit to NYC or Paris); I have a lot of other watches that just seem more suitable to wear at any given time. I do spend a fair amount of time at home now that I'm retired, and I wear the 5970 in the house. Having it in the collection and being able to hold and admire can be as satisfying as being able to wear it -- more maybe, because I can see it from every angle, admire the case back and movement, etc.
