Produced in 2002 in a batch of ten for the state of Qatar, this Gondolo annual calendar features a minute repeater with cathedral gongs. The thin wire that circles the movement is the gong and what makes the cathedral gongs different is that while most gongs circle the movement once, cathedral gongs are around twice the length. Longer gongs allow for longer reverberation and different acoustic qualities. The challenge in implementing longer gongs is that they are only anchored at one end and because of their length, the gongs will need to be kept away from impacting the inner loop of the gongs, the movement and the case. Patek minute repeaters are not commonplace and cathedral gong repeaters are even rarer.

The major design feature which differentiates this from other 5033 examples is the use of Roman numerals.

Caliber R 27 PS QA beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour with a maximum power reserve of 48 hours and features automatic winding courtesy of a 22K gold off-center mini-rotor.
