The world is much smaller than I realize. Unbeknownst to me another purist lives within a few miles of me. We met today over lunch and closely examined each of our newest acquisitions; 3970J second series and 5270R. 2 great pieces with similar DNA but with different aesthetics. It was great to compare these two watches side by side this afternoon. Although I did not notice, I am sure the other restaurant goers were wondering why were taking multiple pics of our wrists.

I must confess that I have a soft spot for the 5270, but wouldn't mind to give an opportunity to the 3970 😉. Two great pieces, very similar but so different!
