I wasn't aware of this until you pointed it out the other time, and in fact I never even heard the term "chrome" being officially used by Patek for the 5131! So perhaps, creating this effect wasn't even deliberate on the part of the enamelers? Thanks agai...

Iโ€™m pretty sure the difference relates to the thickness and opacity of the enamel and show through from the base gold disc. I see the effect on my Tellurium and at certain angles and lighting the texture of the disc and light reflecting is clear to see. ...

however there are huge variations in the R, just not in quite the same way. I mention my Tellurium again as I have seen a similar variation
