Patek Philippe Gondolo 5014G.

From the late 90's.  There were not many rectangular watches at that time. And the competition was fierce, between the Jaeger Lecoultre Reverso, the Cartier Tank, the Girard Perregaux Vintage 45 and a few others.

Here is a white gold specimen I could see some weeks ago.

Pure lines, oversized ( for the proportions ) small second and 3 / 9 / 12 hour markers, minimalist baton hands.

Solid case back, hiding the manual winding Cal 215PS.

And good size: 35 x 27, 5 mm enhancing the elegance of this model.

We should see that kind of watches more often!

Best,

Nicolas

With a shaped movement I would...

...go to the ends of the earth to buy one. But a round movement in a shaped case doesn't interest me at all...

Elegant, most definitely!

I really like the art-deco-like minute track, the size of the numerals, and the spherical seconds track. Kind of reminds me a bit of Tron. The design of the case sides extending to the lugs, and the raised square plateau of the back. Beautiful!

This is a watch I listed after back in the day
