I don't think your question merits anything like "hate mail"!
However, i would take teh view that the use of teh Lamania movement is not in the slightest a problem. You have to remember that for a very very long time, Jaeger LeCoultre made many parts for virtually all watch makes. JLC were the watchmaker's watchmaker. Does that in some way invalidate the watches made by the others? Or does it just add to the charm and beauty of a piece? I would argue that the Lamania movement is a superb piece of engineering...and of teh highest quality. The fact that it is now to end makes the use of it rare and collectible. Does it mean that it in some ways devalues the 5970 or 5070? Each to his own on this, but my vote would be that I love the Lamania and find PP's use of it attractive. In no way (to my mind) does it imply 2nd best.
