Nice watch but ...
White gold with black dial is definitely the one to go for. I believe this is one of the few WG watches that is not rhodium plated which makes servicing relatively more straightforward.
Size is smaller than the current range of PP watches. As my wrist is small, it fits quite nicely and no major complaints except that the case is a magnet for dings & scratches. 240 caliber has some difficulty getting fully wound because of the smaller rotor but that was fully rectified during a service.
You should be able to pick one up at a reasonable price, as recent auction prices were somewhat weak.. General market perception is that collectors seem to prefer the hunter case & dial layout of 5054 over 5055. Notice the difference in luminous markers of 5055 which is unusual, but the more symmetrical layout of the 5054 makes it more widely accepted. One more advantage of 5055 over 5054 is that it is relatively less expensive, new and current prices, but it comes with a very useful folding clasp.
