New to Forum, thinking of first Patek.
So, I've gone through a lot of watches in the past, tag, omega, movado, then to rolex, panerai, and AP. Most recently I let my AP ROO Panda go. I'm seriously thinking about the 5980 (blue face), as prices seem very reasonable compared to the past for that model from reputable sellers.
I'd like to hear from the forum what they love about patek, how they compare to AP, wearability, durability, etc...
Any pictures of the 5980 (black or blue face) would be really appreciated.

You can search by images (pictures), just enter 5980, search by images, select Patek forum While AP are quite nice and imo a higher level of refinement than Panerai and Rolex, Pateks have a as high a level of finishing and quality and an 'it' quality that...

you guys seem to have exactly the same taste LOL He had and still has quite a few Panerai, he has a ROO , and yup, he also had the deepsea...and his last aquisition is the 5980

The 5980 enhances the sportivity of the original Nautilus.
Thicker, it will certainly please you from what I see about your collection. The blue dial is to die for and has to be seen in the flesh to fully appreciate how dangerously captivating is this watch. Best, Nicolas
