My Patek Philippe journey part 2

After getting my first Patek Philippe (the 3919J) and being beaten by the bug. I started really diving into Patek Philippe, it was something new to me and I didn’t know the range of the models and references etc. frequent visits to the ADs and lots of YouTube videos introduced me to the brand (I can’t recall the exact time but I would say it was about 7 years ago). One of the major differences between Patek Philippe and Rolex back then is that: for Rolex you walk into the store and they have all Datejust or Day-Date styles displayed and you pick your favorite and pay for it and walk-away.
For Patek Philippe it was somehow different. You would be lucky to see few watch’s in the boutique (first PP boutique I ever visited had only one golden elipse). They would show you the catalogue and discuss prices and time to get them. That was completely unusual for me. And the prices where much greater than Rolex. So it was a big decision for me. I remember setting my eyes on the annual calendar. In the catalogue was both the 5146 and 5396 and I ended up getting the 5146G with all its glory.
It was for sure one biggest purchase up to date back then and I was really the proud owner of a complicated Patek for the first time back then ❤️
