My Patek - Chosen without compromise.

Hello All,

I have just taken delivery of a new watch for myself.  It is a Patek and I love it.

I have owned a few Patek Philippe pieces in my time but this is the first purchase were money was not the biggest factor in the purchase.

I had just received a small inheritance - about the size of a small luxury car.  I wanted something with lasting potential.  Something I really loved for my sake.

My previous Patek purchases were bought because they were good value for money.  I bought a Patek Calatrava 3944 (hence my user tag) for a good price only to be upset that it was quartz.  It just went against the grain.  I also had a 3919 but I felt it was a fraction small for me.

I wanted something special.

I norrowed my choices down to the following:-

1) Rolex Steel Dayton, 2) Rolex Day Date in Yellow Gold and a 3) Patek Philippe 5107.

The watch  I picked was the Patek 5107 in white gold.

I think it is a classic.
