Love mine!
I have had a 5159G for about 2 1/2 years. I wear it pretty carefully and typically under a shirt sleeve with a business suit. I wear it regularly, but in rotation with quite a few (probably way too many!) other pieces. It runs on a winder when I'm not wearing it. One time, the retrograde date didn't snap all the way back at the end of the month. It easlily corrected when I manually advanced the hands. Other than that, it has been flawless.
I really love its classicism, the dial design, font, proportions and everything. Throw in the hunters case back and you have one sweet watch! I have purchased other very nice watches and sold or traded them after I just couldn't "bond" with them. The 5159 was love at first sight and it just keeps getting better. I can't see myself ever tiring of it!

Dear friends, I know this questions has already been raised many times. But I cannot find the correct answer. To my taste, the 5159 is the "closest to perfect" perpetual. But... some people say it is more "fragile" and less reliable than most perpetual bo...

I've always always loved the 5159. I just think it's a gorgeous looking watch. In line with today's tastes, it could do with being a little larger but I think it's magnificent. Have a look at engraved case 5160 version as well.... lovely but big $$$$
5059p

I have owned a 5059P (still do) and have worn it quite a bit. The case is heavy with a substantial presence on the wrist (which I like!); in the 6 or 7 years I had it, I have yet to experience any problems. I think the same can be extrapolated to 5159. Ju...

Love the 5059

This is my favourite perpetual of all perpetuals pretty much! I like the 5159 too but not a fan of the elongated fonts. I actually prefer the 5059 dial to the 5050, but i would have loved it to be a little thinner. thats the one and only negtaive for me. ...

I have also considered 5159G as it is beautiful watch. Pleasure to look at, albeit a rather busy dial. I almost got it. Reserved one at the AD and even paid a deposit. However, after an extensive research, I concluded that it is a temperamental piece to s...
