Latest addition : ref. 5049P
Hey guys, it's been a while, wanted to share my latest acquisition, the ref 5049P made to collaborate the 200th Anniversary of the Boodle and Dunthorne. The reference is unique to this limited edition of 20 pieces, all numbered with a badass black dial and dauphine hands. The case is based on ref. 5139 but instead of the clou de Paris finished bezel features a stepped bezel reminding me of the ref. 3449 - the closest I'll get to this reference for now haha.

I wasn't particularly looking for it no, a dear friend offered it to me and it came down to this or a 3940J black dial vintage collection, I opted for the reasons above and the large signature on the 3940

...it is as perfect as a PC can get. Everything I love from Patek without the flaws of some of the others. Serious 'Wow!'
Rare and perfect looking watch
Simplicity of the case and lugs balances the complexity of the movement. Not sure the brown strap works with the white case and black dial.

The white indicators for the month and day certainly stands out! Probably easier to see the month and day than the time because of the special white hands and the contrast with the black dial…👍

Indeed, I was talking with a friend about legibility on dials - the 5970P is probably the most criticised in this aspect from our conversation - this one to me isn't as bad, it remains quite legible - maybe I'm not old enough yet haha
