Thank you so much for your advice. The Patek Calatravas is model 3919 in yellow gold. The Lange is the 1815 model in rose gold. Tell me if more Calatravas are produced and are more common, if you check e-bay there are plenty for sale, wouldn't that decrease the value or demand? Also if the Lange 1815 is discontinued, would the value go up or were they discontinued because of unpopularity making the watch worthless in years to come? What do you think? Is it worth getting a didscontinued model.
Personally, I like the name Patek Philippe because I never had one, but the Calatrava 3919 style is just not a wow factor. Pretty but very basic in design, and not an eye catcher. The Lange 1815 is a much prettier watch, and the see through display back case adds to the nicer looking style. But Lange is not as widely recognized by people. Both of these watch will cost the same amount at a Houston, Texas store . They sell new and pre-owned watches. So far they are the cheapest I have seen at this store.
Thanks for any input, I do appreciate it.
