I don't see any watch as an investment, specially between these two it is not a real subject IMO and as we don't discuss financial value here I won't say more.
Patek Philippe has been in existence for much longer than Lange so there are indeed many more Calatrava models than Lange watches. Still reading you I feel that you seem to prefer one over the other. Do you know which one? 
Buy the one you love, both are excellent watches!
Which model of Calatrava are you thinking about?
The Lange 1815 is discontinued now by the way.
