I discovered a precious and wonderful 3940 in Geneva in May (at the auction preview venue).

Interesting the black dial one has the leaf hands and the font like the 5140 rather than 3940. Reminds of the salmon London Saatchi one was it? The 3940g first series is very special and a rare bird indeed!
They used the 5140 'squeezed' numbers on some of these special editions...
...that must have been made after the normal 3940s were done...
Both definitely look wonderful.
