It has been a very long time (too long) since I last wore this special and dare I say, beautiful watch. Today, it is back on my wrist where it belongs.
Patek 3448, an historically important reference, was the first self winding perpetual calendar watch produced by ANY brand. This particular example was made in the late 1970s shortly before being replaced by the 3450. Hope you enjoy the images. Thanks for looking. Best, Patekova

The dial and moonphase are enamel, right?
Just a stunning execution of a PC. Perhaps my favorite watch (or at least top 3).
Thank your for your kind appraisal. The dial is not enamel. Wish it were. I have seen only one enamel dial 3448 or 3450 (donât remember which).Was at an auction viewing.
Donât know if it was born that way or not. But the moonphase is a different matter. It is my understanding that 3448s came with enamel moonphase and mine certainly appears to be. Thanks for asking, led me to take a closer look.

Given your lovely collection, I can understand why your 3448 might not get enough wrist time. It does deserve more love though !
