what would you do if your AD offered you your lifetime grail? It happened to me, and while it's incredibly tempting, I would tap out my watch fund for probably 5 years or more... and seriously deplete my @#*% off fund. I sadly shook my head, and said no, ... 

Letting my family homeless, I would do it, without any remorse ( I don't know what is remorse, by the way... ) nor hesitation. We live once. Best, Nicolas.

If this really is your grail watch and you have the funds, then I would go for it. I wouldn't care about eliminating my watch fund for a few years if this is that ultimate watch. Granted in reality hot new watches can catch our eyes on a moments notice an... 

If you really want it, find a way to make it happen!! The opportunity is in front of you now!!! It's not going to wait for you! Five years is nothing and you'd probably blow the money on something else anyway. Just do it.

It's a no brainer. Buy the grail watch now and start raising round 2 for the @$%# off fund! What is this grail watch by the way? Is it the 5002p? I am sure that it must be a @$%# off watch!

... of course that depends on what the " @#*% off fund" is. Not being able to buy another watch for 5 years? What is 5 years compared to a lifetime grail? I would also be interested, what the lifetime grail means to you in terms of Patek watches. For me, ... 

I'm grateful for your opinions and genuinely surprised by the number of folks who say... 'go for it!'. Maybe I'm climbing back on the fence and will let you know if I decided to complete the quest. OpC

It's easy for us to say "yeah - just do it" but it isn't our life savings we're vicariously spending. Once the austerity pain really hits Europe it will take China along with it. The grails will suddenly reappear as the Shanghai and Pairs boutiques remain... 

my opinion is, ask yourself, in as genuine a way as possible--if this watch is a True Grail. A grail has the power to empty the lust out of the insatiable desire--and replace it with peaceful eternal fulfillment--and set you on a new path--otherwise, don'... 

A thoughtful and eloquent answer. I will use this wisdom for my own future watch desires, which annoyingly always seem to be directed towards watches that could theoretically be afforded, but are irresponsibly costly when viewed through the eyes of my fam... 

I, myself, am in a midst of a power struggle between purchasing a watch or holding out the cash for other future possible 'grails"... and your post really clears it up for me. Thank you for that! Have a good weekend my friend. GG
