Quite difficult to judge the dial from pics, I‘m curious to see how it changes in different light conditions. From the two, I prefer the 5226, by a small margin. Which one do you like more?

Out of the two, 5226 is aesthetically more pleasing. The function of 5326 however is very useful, though it comes with a nearly 2 folds difference in price tag…….. As I haven’t got a travel time PP yet (all my WT don’t count ) I like 5326 slightly more. ... 

Dial texture, hobnail on the side, hands, movement: it all looks nice. The one thing I do not understand at all: I hope they provide a toothpick to clean the gap between the lugs and the case. What is the point of this design feature? If it has any reason... 

I guess the rational of this design is to avoid disruption of the rows of hobnail running around the side of the case, which is a highlight of this new series of Calatrava.

I know you must dislike the date wheel a lot. Putting that aside, the design, especially continuous hobnails by the side, vulcanite textured dial and “floating” lugs are quite nice actually.

However not really for my taste,especially the graining of the dial and the faux lumina.

The dials are indeed a bit uncommon, sort of cross over between horology and photography.

Hence eager to check it out when I can hold the references on my hands

Great review and observations on these new references. I’ve given my interest for the 5326G to my AD and hopefully will have an allocation. Love the fact that the lugs are connected to the case via bottom plate only and hence the Clous de Paris hobnail gu... 

The combination of travel time with annual calendar is superb. The caliber 260 inside is my favorite non-chronograph movement, so beautiful!

Glad I could see both references in person and appreciate all those design details. It’s not surprising both references have received very strong demand. However, there are so many goodies in this year. May be able to preview 5230P and THE 5231G next Satu... 

I really like seeing how PP's style is evolving! The case's hobnail sides are beautifully crafted, and it appears the case to be fashioned from two separate parts (?). Quite outstanding!

The lugs are indeed connected only to the bottom piece and sort of “floating” and not attached to the middle case/bezel, in order to allow a continuous running of hobnails by the side.

The granular vulcanite like dial really provides a new look ! The 5326 looks so so different than the 5320 cream dial. Are you tempted by it ?

The vulcanite dial and overall case/ lugs design are very appealing. But as we are all addicted to cloisonne, 5231G is still the most wanted one in my heart

I don’t recall ever seeing something quite like that in Patek. Here is a 3448 from 1978. There is a slight space at the top of the lug. Doesn’t go very deep so vastly different from these new models. Nevertheless, I think this historical antecedent is int...

...really make me want to see them in person. I am not one for date windows, but it looks fine here and fits with a more elegant/casual look.

Good to witness the birth of another new series of Calatrava, after the 6119 from last year.
