Patek Philippe

What Patek Philippe models are usually recommended for a first time purchase? Are there also any posts or other sources with this kind of information? Thanks!

Much will depend upon your pocket book + how you plan to wear the watch. However, assuming you want to stay in the 5-figure area, both a 5712/1A or 5167/1A are excellent models that look great and can be worn in nearly any setting, IMO.

As for a PP first model, I'd say " follow your heart ", and try the model you condier buying, to see if it really sings loud to your ears. There is no possible advice, as it depends of your wallet, tastes, and even, knowledge of the brand. That is a passi... 

depending on budget etc just pop into your local AD most are very accomodating and will have a good selection for you to peruse, albeit i doubt if they have the 'wanted' models but still have a very good selection nontheless...personally a good starter wh... 

I'd of course my 1st Patek to be the from the ones I like, such as 5040 or 3970 but since those are out of my league so I keep on being Patek-less. I was close to buying 5296-001G once but opted for VC Patrimony boutique piece instead as my heart went for...

I am somewhat concerned as to why you would want a Patek if you're not sure which model you want. While this is certainly none of my business why anyone buys a Patek, I would note that Pateks can be bought for the wrong reasons (buying only for the brand ... 

I feel like I am part of a family because of your warm responses. I have so far narrowed the choices down to three models, 5711, 5712, and 5980, and I will now start my research on these. This is exciting for me! Thanks for leading me to this excitement.
