I recently got a 5970P.. waiting for my 38th b-day as well!!
I love the 5970P, looks stunning!.
But comparing the difference of degree of excitement between P and G (2nd derivative we are talking about here...) , the 5070 P/G has a much higher "gamma" than 5970P/G. Maybe once the bag is cut, I will say it differently....
Please guys can I see some in the wild wrist shots of a 5970p and owners opinions.....
Is it as good when owned and on the wrist???? To late if not as I have one coming but getting inpatient ..... Cheers M.

I called my AD last week and he told me Augist or September the watch will arrive. I am with you, tear open teh plastic and get it on the wrist. I can see this watch becoming my personal favourite, but will need to wear it to be sure. But, i do empathise....

All 5970s are beautiful , very hard to find another watch that can beat it in term of look and proportion. It can be worn in all occasions and truly , stunningly handsome. My personal preference is 5970G due to its silvery steel dial. *CL

It is super legible , but a IF You need the light to be in an incident angle and create a highlight to the silver hour and minute hands to be able to see it clearly. I have no problem with that but to some it can be annoying. Would you expect to see a 597...
