I wear a plastic Timex these days as a daily beater...
...at about 35mm. My wrist is 7.25" and it doesn't look silly on me. Maybe a white dial would make it look bigger (although the black dials are really nice). I suppose it will depend upon your wrist size. But these 'smaller' watches are great opportunities as they are not nearly as popular as they might be and are priced accordingly. Good luck!

Hi all! I am interested in the Patek 5000 (still unsure which configuration). I really like to own the 240 movement “in its purest form”, including in a 33mm case so the movement really fills the caseback. I am wondering how the 33mm case fits on the wris...

I've owned 2 Patek 5000Js...
I believe they're a little over 33 mm and I have an 8" wrist. I found it a great dress watch especially under my french cuff dress shirts.
I would like to see pictures on how they look if possible :-)
I am also around 8” and wear happily from around 34 but unsuee if 33 is to small? For me Best Hans
You might also consider the 35mm 5032J if you want the 240 in its purest form...
I was thinking about adding a 5000 in the past but am not sure I need a second small Patek dress watch. I own a 34mm 3998P that I am wearing in rotation with a 38mm IWC Mark XV and a 5711/1A. On the wrist the difference between 3998 and 5711 appears small...
I love the 5032
That watch gets too little credit but its case volume is perfect. Maybe Patek should have fitted a transparent caseback to boost its appeal
you should consider a 5026P
I had one but gone and I liked it on my 160mm wrist ;-) No photo sorry
