Patek Philippe

I used to be an advocate for winders and have about a dozen of them in various sizes as well as a GIANT closet sized one, got the idea from my buddy Jim in Cali...

I have used them for years but recently I have come to the conclusion it really isn't needed as much as I had thought. As long as you wind your watches once in a while (once per week or 2 weeks) the watches should be fine since most all modern watched use high tech oils etc...

If you had vintage watches, winding them more often would help them run better as well.

I understand the need or want for a winder when it comes to a Perpetual Calendar to keep the watch up to date and not having to set the watch each and every time which could be a pain BUT I have gotten over that and actually like spending a few minutes each day setting my watches as well as winding them. It just allows me to appreciate them that much more and gives me even more interaction with them in a more intimate way.

Hope that helps 😉👍
