How i do it
I confess, i put a part of my collection on a winder.
Why?
I dislike to adjust the time over and over.
So, i do not pull out a crown, i put a watch on my winder.
Secure.
I check if the watch have enough grip in the winder.
Next.
When i wear a watch, the rotor swings.
On my winder the rotor swings.
So, i think a winder imitates a wrist move.
The watch under this text is no Patek.
It is an affordable Baume and Mercier automatic.
I have no worries to ruin the movement.
For long time i use this watch on the winder, and no strange things and accuracy problems.
But ask your Patek AD if a very high quality movement Patek is sensitive for wear. 
PP watch winder full size-is this good for the movement or not? What is your take?
When picking up the 5320g, we chose the full size winder that is still available from the AD over the more practical cylinder type PP winder which was also an option. We were told the full size one has been discontinued. Not sure if they are discontinuing...

Thanks man- yes I tend to agree. It sort of comes with the PC territory that it should run all the time.
Not too difficult to set it, but it all has to be in the right order. Yeah a winder feels like the right thing for a PC.

Winder is fine. I recommend the cylinder winder because it's completely vertical, so no lateral stress on the winding stem.
