I understand what you mean... The probability that a jewel has to be changed is near to zero...
well a pivot may be down if the watch had not been serviced properly.
I would have the movement serviced by a good watchmaker - if he finds a defect pivot during his maintenance work
then you still can ( I would say must) send it to Geneva... but I would give it a try the "easy way" first.
