I see there's a (general) comeback towards smaller watches for men, which is in the end quite natural given the constant push towards bigger models that took place during the past 15 years..

However, I frankly find some limits to this, regardless of one's wrist size. To be always very honest, while your wife's 7200 is a real beauty, personally I would have trouble wearing it. Yes, in part because of size, but I also see this as about the more feminine characteristics of most smaller watches today. If you will, a different but more complicated argument could be made (at least in general) in favor of small vintage watches, when a more limited size was all but the norm.
On the flipside, let's consider that women have been enjoying a broader selection of models for the last many years, and I'm confident this trend will hardly ever be reversed... Just to give you two rather limit examples (on the same woman's wrist), here's a Panerai I sometimes, intentionally, give to my girlfriend to wear at Patek parties...and then a Patek 7300, again on her wrist (in fact, the watch in this picture belongs to the Patek Italy boss!). While both watches can be seen as good looking (or at least acceptable) on a woman's small wrist (my girlfriend is Korean), frankly I'd find it VERY difficult to make the reverse argument for a men... ;-)
Hope this honest feedback helps...also keep in mind that, with watches, in the end it's all about quality and personal sense of style, so your opinion will be the only one that matters ;-)
