There are not many around for sale so perfectly reasonable. Where it actually transacts can be anywhere but likely between 10k and 20k is my guess

However I wasn’t so much talking about money as merely expressing my shock that an empty watch box can command such price and wanted to know if I was alone in thinking so. Considering I have only joined you guys on this forum a few weeks ago and hardly kn... 

There are 2 buyers for this. The first buyer is a collector, with a 3700, but not the cork box it came with originally. The second buyer, is someone looking to sell a 3700 and thinks the cork box will add 20K+ to the sale price.

But as they say , courses for horses 😉
