I have that same issue on some gold vintage watches when I haven’t worn them in a long time
It usually gets less from regular wear. To me, it’s just part of the charm. I only see it as character and patina. Nothing negative. Of course you may feel differently about it but I think it’s nothing unusual or wrong.
You could try to wear it for an extended period and see if it changes. Personally I would never polish a watch in such pristine condition. It will blur the lines of the case over several polishes.
