Patek Philippe

I have always wondered about this ... i have questions 2 !

Any expert out there or collectors with such experience, please also share with us your  information regarding dial exchange.  My understanding is, Patek will first have to confirm if your requested dial is available.

Mr. RKDaniel, my question to you is, did this exchange took place already ?  Was there a overhaul done to your watch ? How long was the whole process ?

A few years back, some individual made such a request with AD, with the same model watch you mentioned and was denied.  Therefore i am most curious if what you ask indeed took place or just wishful thinking ?

Some say, when such a dial has been exchanged, patek or your Ad will safe keep that original dial, until such time the owner makes a request to switch back, this service can be done by patek again.  Of course i cannot be 100% sure, that is another point i am curious of.

Regarding your question of the certificate, i suppose the owner will be smart to keep all such documents, i dont suppose the word RE-Dial applies, cause it gives people an impression the your dial is a RE-finish dial, which isnt, cause the dial you recieve is in fact original and brand new.  Therefore, i think a RE-fitted dial will be more applicable to your current situation.

I have a feeling, your certificate will have to stay as is, since movement, case number also coincide with the dial, unless Patek is willing to re-issue a new certificate ( which i doubt ).

I thank you for asking such question, if any collectors have had similar experience, please share with us what you know......

most grateful
