I handled this 5959 two days ago
in Geneva. What a fantastic movement but the watch is for the wrist size of my wife - not mine.
I would take 5950 at any moment even 5959 has email dial and platinum case. There is something very special about a high complication in a steel case! And we all should admit it: out of traditional materials for watch cases steel is the best. A chronograph is a sporting watch and steel is also the most suitable material for such a watch.
I sat yesterday next to the CEO of Patek on the lunch. I tried to explain Mr. Claude Peny that they should urgently introduce 5170A but somehow I felt that he was not 100% convinced about my arguments...

I'm not interested at all about collector's items!
The only right place for a watch is the wrist. I still hope to see 5170A one day. Next year means some special 175 years anniversary watches and a steel chronograph would be fantastic. Not one of these split second ones so few can afford but a more sensib...

if the ultimate grail would be the 5208P, the 5950A along with the 3670A comes right after... Strangely, i would wear on a daily basis the 2 chrono's, but not the 5208P. Thanks for the great post Oliver

"Grail" - quite interesting that you like all three watches that much. The 5208 is almost a no go for me, because it is somehow too bold for my taste. But to be honest, I never saw it in the metal ... :-) Oliver
I've come to the conclusion..
