I find the black dial a bit too “harsh” almost aggressive for this type of watch. Its actually my least favorite.
Its already a “big gun”. No need to overplay it. The silver is more elegant and versatile. Just my 2 cents

Patek Philippe 5970R. A true nice watch.

best PPs in my opinion. I do prefer the salmon color dial though . Also, not sure whether I'd end up going for this one or for the VC Malte PC Chrono.... Would have to see both in person to make up my mind! Cheers, Filip

This is very nice!
The strap has quite an interesting textured pattern, which surprisingly works with this timepiece. The inner alligator is always a pleasure to have. As for the watch, I cannot really say anything that has not been said before!

I had heard/read about ABP and did come close to ordering through their site, but do prefer to meet in person for a consult. I will definitely look into ABP in the future.

The 5970 is my favorite Patek.
To me, nothing can beat it, before or, and especially, since.

Black dial… I have considered departing a significant part of my collection for one. But not yet! A few more years before I am 50, then just maybe.

The black dial P is terrific, but I would choose the G silver for versatility and classicism. Black dial is cool and sophisticated.
With this one, can't go wrong with any of the metals as long as the metal color works for you.

The black dial is by far my least favourite. Difficult to read the time but hey if that doesn’t worry you then no problem. Plus I’ve never been a fan of Patek black dials. Rolex do black dials well. M.
