Thank you so much for sharing your touching story! Didn't like the comet? That's okay. I find the comet a little strange too; how when you wind it the sub-dial moves and when the power reserve elapses, he hand moves but the sub-dial remains constant. Kind... 

I was offered a ref 3700 at an extraaordinary price of around 25kpounds. I knew nothing about the different dials and I still do not know if that watch was all original or had a service dial. BuI met M Stanga and my education began I learned all about the...  

But I have to admit, as confusing and confounding the 3710 can be, it is undeniably a very handsome and under appreciated Nautilus! I really like your 3800 - with the matching color date disc. Sharp looking piece - but looking at your wrist size, I think ... 

You know I share your love for 5712. It’s one of my favorite references of tue nautilus model. Although they are all wonderful IMHO. ...  

I generally prefer all the thinner Nautilus models myself. But admittedly, I especially like the 5980 Nautilus models!

I don't have one but I came close to getting a 5711/1A back in 2011 for 15k euros. I had been attracted to the slim case design, blue dial and water resistance. In the end I didn't do it because I could not answer one fundamental question, namely would I ... 

A lot of Patek Philippe designs are not that great. The Patek Philippe 6007 for instance. Nice watch. But, if it didn't say Patek Philippe on it, would people really give it a lot of thought? Would it sell in the quantities it currently enjoys? Doubtful. ...

I found the 5712 nautilus to be unattractive at first.. the case is really retro.. and the dial to be rather weird looking - all the indications were unusually placed That’s until I had the chance to try it on my wrist one day.. I was like wowww.. this is...

I think I took the photo sometime in 2014/2015 at a science museum in San Francisco. And it's one of my favorite watch photos! I don't have a lot of good watch photos - so this is a rare one!

This 5711 and the 5712 are my favourite Nautilus. Photo was taken when I was back in Singapore as I kept all my watches there. Remembered bugging and having waited many years for the AD to finally come through with the piano dial that I had asked for. Unb...  

The 330 caliber really did improve upon the 315 and 324 calibers with that all-important hacking seconds! I'm a little sad that my 240-caliber 5712 doesn't hack! Your wrist looks wonderful with the 5711! I'm glad you were able to get it just in time!
