I was quite cold on this piece on launch but turned 180 degrees when I saw it in the metal. The grain on the blue dial is really lovely and I think it will be a future classic - perhaps because it was/is so out of the norm for PP in many ways. You, sir, also have the big bonus of a wrist that can carry it off so "go for it!" I would say.

My absolute favourite Patek
Very rare, an unusual Patek, useful complication and very eye catching. I have neither the funds nor thick enough wrist to pull it off or I would hunt it down. Let us know what you decide, hopefully with more pictures on your wrist.

I got mine earlier this year and could not be happier. I was also someone that did not like it at first but as soon as I saw it in person and tried it in on I put my order in.
I think it's a really great watch with a useful complication and would not hesitate to buy it.
I think Patek do the travel time complication very well - not sure which I prefer between this and the 5990.

A feature not often mentioned is the first-rate quality of the lume on the 5524. Have this watch in frequent weekly rotation...if worn during the day, it glows strongly throughout the night. Have to confess to wearing it to bed a few times (!) ... and abl...
