How a strap can change a watch.
The 5960 P with the blue dial is and remains one of my favorite watches in the collection.
Without going into the extremes (yellow,orange,purple,etc ....) I want to demonstrate the importance of straps for the perception of the watch.
First with the OEM dark blue (slightly shiny) alligator strap : very classic !
Now staying with the dark blue but with a different leather type (ostrich) and the result is much more casual looking.
Always a good combination with blue dials is a taupe colour strap. In this case with a saffiano leather and contrast stitching.
Now the result is a more contemporary and modern look.
And finally another blue alligator leather but now with a more vivid and brighter colour.
And finally another blue alligator leather but now with a more vivid and brighter colour.
Again a new look with a good blend between dressy and casual.

In total agreement that straps bring out different characters of a watch.
And your well-taken photos highlight this well! The 5960 is one of my favorite references from Patek, and this variation is perhaps the classiest.
Your PP really pops on that taupe one!
I have just ordered one but my watch is much more monochrome than yours... I think the combo could be a little bland. We shall see soon

By now we have much more good strap manufactures ...and the quick release spring-bars which are so comfortable to use!

I totally agree, the strap can change the watch completely. Unfortunately, for some reasons I don't change straps very often, which is a pity. Maybe because I feel that OEM straps are too expensive and I don't have easy access (and advice/guidance) to qua...
There are a few good strap manufactures in the neighbour countries.
I order regularly from LIC,Atelier Romane and Molequin. The quality is really good,they have a large choice and their prices are much more reasonable than the OEM straps.
