Correct, this 3710/1A was an uber cool release at the time which sadly never caught on like the current models

1934 makes the Art Deco side more likely, but the Belle Γ‰poque influence might be a stretch. Someone with a Masters of Fine Art may have a more qualified opinion than I do.
