cloissone enamel dials. A pre-printed drawing such as the map on the dial would be traced by artisan with wires. Since it is manual work, the gold filaments are therefore slightly different for each dial. Hence, UNIQUE in every way in addition to the colors and gradations. Hope this is helpful !
