Gordon, thank you very much for bringing what will remain rare shots with us. It is funny to notice how much the change from painted arabic numerals to applied ones significantly changes the way the 6000 looks. It was for me a sporty watch but doesn't loo... 

these 6000 Rs are clearly stripped down to please the Chinese taste which is apparently less fussy and where less seems to be more. Yes, they look nice too but given the choice I would choose the standard over this limited edition. Best Moritz

cultural differences between Patek collectors from different countries. For me with a east meet west culture, my understanding of the Patek classic DNA is clean and simple dials. Hence, IMO I do not feel the regular 6000 with the two circles of numerals m... 

You are right about the clean, simple dial tradition. But Patek has also quite a few "quirky" looking watches, watches with a modern twist, in limited series in particular. This one looks more like a predecessor of the current 6000 and not like an evoluti...

I am not really a fan of PP designs except for a few lines. These anniversary pieces do not appeal to me looks wise for now. Still I applaud PP for producing LE pieces for China. I guess they will design these for the Chinese market and they will be popul...

a shame. Debatable whether it is a crime on its own. However, as I understand, the 4897 has a hinged case-back 1 Let me find out more as I plan to visit the Maison and see all these LE pieces. If no equality (i.e. 4897 has it but not 6000) exists, then I ...
