are you a proud owner of an MR?
My personal experience:
1. no
2. no
3. no (for mine = IWC Minute Repeater), but I am not sure for „any brand“ „forever“ since some constructions are more delicate than others.
For me for example the Patek 5078 is one of the most desirable watches ever. But I have no experience with Patek MR and how robust they are in the long run.

Having a PP MR will be an ultimate grail for me. It’s the best of the best. I hope one day I will be able to acquire one 😄 Just that I always have these questions in mind so would be nice to clear up my mind in advance.

It’s good to know the repeating mechanism works independently from the time movement. When u pick up the watch and so eager to play the music in your ears, you sometimes will forget to wind it and just go straight for the sound 😅

advises to wait at least 30 seconds after the sound has stopped.

One thing
is never touch the winding crown until at least 30 seconds after the sounds stop. The repeater mechanism must be completely through its cycle before any crown movement can be made. This is why Patek hand delivers these watches so as to advise of this. Per...
